I moved rooms tonight. I'm now down the other end of the block in a yucky pink colored dorm, as opposed to the lovely Carolina blue I was sporting down the other end. But, down the other end, I was also sporting a constant risk of salmonella poisoning, company of those I do not wish to keep, and other general annoyances. So, although this new room is not the color I would choose if I got to, I am going to enjoy life a lot more down this end of the world that is Leprena.
In other news, Zoe and I are going to stay with her cousin Louise, Louise's husband Doug and their 3 kiddies tomorrow night, so that will be great :) We went and stayed a few nights with them in January, and had a really nice and relaxing time.
I am half way through the final season of Will & Grace and even though I have seen the series finale before, I'm nervous to watch it again, since I have now almost seen the entire series, and therefore know all the history and so on. It's like last year when I was flicking through the channels and found the last few minutes of the season 1 finale of Brothers and Sisters and cried a little bit, despite not ever having seen the show before. Then, after buying the first season earlier this year and watching the whole thing, I blubbered like a baby the whole way through the finale, because I knew about everything. Yes, I am a little bit addicted to watching TV shows when they're on DVD. And yes, I could rent them. But if I did that, would I have an amazing DVD collection? No. Do I spend most/all of my money on DVDs? Yes.
So, I'm off to watch Will & Grace, because it is the second funniest NBC comedy of all time. (Second only to The Office) (sidenote: I got season 1 of 30 Rock for my birthday, though, and that is apparently amazing, and is also an NBC show, so, I'm wondering whether W&G might lose its ranking. Anyhoo).
Is the Lord your shepherd, miss?

Happy Birthday to ya'! ....The Rainy Day Birthday Blog
It's quiet hours 24/7 around Leprena because of exams but the girls made sure to break that rule at 12am when it was officially June12th; my birthday; my twentieth birthday.
Julez and I spent a few hours out in the wind having a good long chat about birthdays and friends and things that go wrong and things that go right and getting married and getting older and being awesome and being vulnerable and being tired and then we drove to the petrol station. (If one of my grade 3s had written a sentence with that many 'ands' and no commas, I would have done some serious editing, but, it's a list, essentially, and it was all at once and a nice way to ring in the birthday with a good friend.) Here is a picture of me and Julez a few weeks ago at the somewhatformal dinner. Had someone taken a photo of us out in the wind and the rain last night, it wouldn't have been as pretty as this one:

This is me at 230 this morning dealing with the harsh reality of having twenty years to my name. Then, starting at 7am, I received a massive amount of birthday text messages. I have lovely friends.
At 8:38am, one of the girls from W4 woke me up to tell my that breakfast was almost ready. They cooked a massive big banquet of delicious breakfast food for me and Sammi, whose birthday is also today (also 20!). (Thank you Leila, Julez, Katie, Sarah, Miss "Leave your backpacks at the door, I think you know why- Our country, our rules, okay?" Amelia, and Susie. What a delicious feast!)
Before going down to the kitchen to start my feast, I looked out the window and to my not-delight saw how beautiful the day was not.

Then, the lovely Julez drove me into town and I spent the day with Connie. Connie (younger and more funny sister of my best friend Zoe) is the nice version of Zoe. I was sure to tell this to Zoe, too. She's not 100% whether or not I'm joking.

Thanks to Connie's moral support and guidance, my youth allowance, my crappy job at Hungry Jack's, and the 50% contribution of my lovely parents, I bought an iPod Touch! :)

My parents also got me a set top box and I'll now be able to watch more than one channel in my bedroom. (For those in the States, not many people really have cable here unless they're filthy rich or spend their pensions on Austar.) Of course, lately, I've been watching a lot of Will & Grace (and, by the way, I have the entire series now, because my lovely brother Gerard bought Season 8 for me for my birthday, and that completes the set.) But, it will be wonderful to get several more channels. That will be just great.
My mum was home sick from work today, so I had to catch the bus to get home to my parents' place, but that was alright. It was raining the whole trip, but I just hooked the new iPod up to the laptop and synched all the songs and fiddled around with it. It's a lot of fun.

All in all, despite most of the people I know being occupied with studious/exam-ous activities, I have had a really lovely birthday. I'll be celebrating for the rest of the week, despite there being a lovely 16 hours at Hungry Jack's scheduled in for the next 3 days. Fan-bloody-tastic.
Anna, Devin, and Darcy (who have been such a lovely addition to my life of late, and I'm not just saying that because I know Anna reads my blog all the time, but, Hi Anna!) :) ) are having me for dinner on Saturday. That will be lovely! :) Until today, I have been scraping by on not much money because I ran out, haha, so, Anna has been so gracious to have me for tea quite a few times. I enjoy their company and I'm looking forward to seeing them on Saturday and celebrating my birthday AND Darcy's 1st birthday! :)
Anyway, I have less than 2 hours left of this lovely, but rainy, day, and I am going to have a bit of a wander around and try and convince my baby brother to let me play Guitar Hero, (despite the fact that I am still half owner as he owes me 80 flippin' dollars.)
Goodnight! :) From the oldest person in the world.
PS- this has been a little test in my extremely limited knowledge of HTML, as blogger decided it might be hilarious to sabotage my birthday by making it really difficult to upload more than one photo and kept just throwing them all up the top. If anyone knows how to remedy this, please let me know.
