For as long as I can remember, I've watched Home and Away. Then, this past.. hmm.. July, I decided to chuck in it. There were a lot of reasons.
1. Sally left.
2. The story lines were far beyond ridiculous.
3. I was spending approximately $200 a year on the TV Week so that I could be 'up' with what was happening before it happened.
4. I couldn't stand that stupid Nicole. She only moved her bottom jaw when she spoke! And she's a spoiled brat!
5. I based my evening around being able to see it.
6. If I watched Home and Away, I was 100% more likely to watch whatever came on after. I hardly watch television at all anymore.
7. I knew more about the characters of Home and Away more than I knew about my own friends and family.
8. The girls sleep around and it's FINE. :(
9. It was getting a little bit ludacris for its timeslot.
10. I'd just freakin' HAD it.
But, I'm not trying to discredit the work that goes into making a 5 nights-a-week show, and I don't mind who watches it. My life is so much better for not watching it, though, and, so, I'm sticking to it!
So, I didn't watch it for about 2 weeks or so leading up to the Olympics, and then it wasn't on during the Olympics, obviously, and then when it came back on, I just didn't watch it. It's good. :)
Devin and I got an entire assignment done today, 5 DAYS IN ADVANCE! So pleased. :)
Well done.
I'd really love to have heaps of people reading my blog. So please, encourage people you know to read it. I'd probably be way more entertaining, and post more regularly, if I knew people were reading ;)
Cheers :)
Anyway. I'm gonna get an early night. Gotta work tomorrow.

Three things:
1. Did you give up H&A cuz Martha got cancer?? Fair-weather fan.
2. Props for getting your assignment done early!!
3. Dear Family, Dogbowl.
What!!!! Are you crazy!!!? I have to watch H and A. So sad, I know!! I know how ridiculous it is too - that is the saddest thing. The story lines are getting ridiculous, and I also miss Sally and as for that Nicole - your comment cracked me up as its so true - she doesn't even move her mouth when she speaks.
I will put a link to your blog on mine - hopefully then you will get some more traffic! :)
oh my.. you cannot boycott home and away. ITS life. hahaha.. Yeah i should probably do it too but it just sucks me in, its 7.0o and my heart gives a lil jump as i rush to the tellie to make sure i dont miss the opening credits. I suppose i'm living life on the edge vicariously through the h and a soapies lives.
Congrats on not watching H & A. Even bigger congrats on getting that assignment completed!!
Good choice, the show is utter rubbish!!!! Lisa has stopped obsessing about it lately, which is good. Come on summer and no H&A!!!
Home and Away is great. Always have to watch it if I'm home. Even get to meet some of the stars from time to time with work :)
